On March 16, 2007, Menu Foods Income Fund announced the "precautionary" recall of some of their wet pet food products sold under private label throughout the United States.

Unfortunately, this wasn't exactly news to many of us whose pets had been getting sick, and, in some cases, dying, of kidney failure, for months.

As of May 1, 2007, the Food and Drug Administration had registered over 8000 pets nationwide who have fallen victim to this travesty, with over 4000 fatalities.

The GOAL of this group and website is to attempt to organize some efforts to try and prevent this tragedy from ever occuring again. Better laws, better food quality enforcement, and stiffer penalties to violators are an absolute necessity.

Our pets can't defend themselves in this case.

Therefore, WE MUST:

DEFEND OUR PETS!
